Your New International Living Magazine is Waiting to Be Read…

International Living Postcards– your daily escape

Tuesday, May 1, 2007

As you can see from the above front-cover picture: Your International Living print issue is a whole lot more colorful this month. With more pages…more photos…and, all in all (we hope), more fun.

After 27 years of publishing, we decided it was time for a dramatic evolutionary step. Starting with the May issue, therefore, we’re packaging the world’s best opportunities for travel and retirement, real estate and investment…in full color. The changes will continue as we work to reinvent your monthly issue to better complement what you receive from us every day in these Postcards.

Don’t worry. We’re covering the same beats. Your issue each month will continue to be chock-a-block with ways and places to live, retire, travel, buy real estate, and invest with big upsides, just like always. Only now, in a format we hope will help make these ideas and opportunities come to life for you.

Your new monthly International Living magazine will showcase the far-flung and exotic havens we tempt you to consider for your new life in paradise…or a great escape. Plus, every issue, we’ll feature regular columns from your favorite IL experts–Paul Terhorst on Retiring Overseas, Suzan Haskins on Reinventing Yourself in Paradise, Sven Lorenz on Emerging Markets, Lief Simon on Global Real Estate Investing, Bob Bauman on Going Offshore, and Lee Harrison making sure all the important Nuts and Bolts of a life abroad are addressed.

Plus, we’ve added additional features: News from our in-country contacts, sneak previews at "Hot Spots" worth your attention right now, and recommendations for books to read and wines to sample.

We unveil this premier magazine issue on our 27th birthday. A new age, a new era.

One important reason we decided to make this leap is because, after 27 years of growth and experience, the monthly issue is only a piece of the International Living world. Years ago, International Living was a subscription newsletter service and little more. Today, you are plugged into a fast-developing group of publications and services produced daily for more than 500,000 readers. Today, the far-flung International Living editorial team publishes more than a dozen e-letters and Country Alert services, a Library of more than 40 book and report titles, and new content every day for the IL website.

How does the monthly print publication fit into this ever-growing editorial line-up, we asked ourselves? The discussion and debate that ensued led us to the pages that are out now, May 1. The newborn International Living magazine, this month, takes up its position at the helm of the International Living ship, steering us full steam ahead into our 28th year. Bon voyage to us all.
