Dear Latin America Insider Reader,

Brazil is one of the most exotic and beautiful places we know…in Latin America or anywhere in the world. Last month, we profiled northeast Brazil, from Fortaleza to Canoa Quebrada. This month, Latin America Roving Editor Lee Harrison continues that journey, and takes us to the seaside paradises of Natal, Olinda, and Recife.

One of these places in particular – Natal – struck Lee’s fancy as offering “the best ratio of perfect ingredients for a second home location. There is enough tourism to draw a large number of nice restaurants and nightlife, but not so much that it’s objectionable. The beaches are lively and spotted with people, but not overly crowded. In addition, there is a nearby airport…”

Learn all about Natal – and other locales Lee thinks you might like – in this month’s Latin America Insider. Also this month, if you’re having a hard time deciding about the best place for you in Latin America, we have two articles that may help. One tells you which countries are experiencing upswings in tourism and which are lagging behind. Tourism and real estate often go hand in hand, so if you want to catch a market on the rise, go where the tourists go. This article will tell you exactly where those places are.

And take a look at the Quality of Living Index for Latin America in this month’s issue, compiled by Mercer Human Resource Consulting. If you’re having a hard time determining the best place in Latin America to live, this ranking system may help. (Not to toot our own horn, but we’ve profiled both of the top-ranked locations in Latin America Insider this past year.)

In both these articles, pay special attention to how Costa Rica ranks. We’ve been turning our attention to this Central American country recently…and we like what we see. Costa Rica was one of the first countries to put eco-tourism on the map, and in our opinion when it comes to Costa Rica, green means go. We have, in fact, just launched our Costa Rica First Alert service. If you would like to receive free alerts about what’s happening in Costa Rica…infrastructure news, economic and tourism news, actionable information about real estate markets, and much more…you will want to subscribe to our valuable Costa Rica First Alerts. You can do that here.

Until next month, keep dreaming of Latin America and make plans to make those dreams come true very soon. Scroll down to find your user name and password to gain access to your Latin America Insider.
