The Ultimate Escape Plan

You can own a beautiful home and live the good life without going into debt…in places where small-town values rule and neighbors still watch out for one another…and where the cost of health care won’t give you a headache. We know people who are doing this right now. And we’re going to introduce them to you.

You’re about to meet a group of regular IL readers who have done what you’re possibly dreaming of doing yourself–they’ve successfully and happily retired overseas. They’ll share with you many things: Where in the world to rediscover the American dream…where you can get the retirement you deserve at a cost you can afford right now. Listen to what they say, learn from their experiences, and be inspired to stake out your own dream retirement overseas.

A lot of hard-won advice is coming your way–too much to handle in one go. So, we’re going to share it with you in easy-to-digest pieces.

That’s why, beginning tomorrow, and for the next five days, we’re going to share with you the stories of IL readers who decided to "just do it," in the hope that their experiences will encourage you to start your own expat adventure. We’re calling it the Ultimate Escape Plan.

Whether your overseas dreams involve starting a business, living somewhere new full- or part-time, investing, retiring, or simply relaxing…the expats you’ll hear from this week will help you stop dreaming and start doing.

We’ll bring you stories from your fellow readers who’ll show you how easy it can be to start a business in Mexico…build a mountain getaway in Ecuador…find a beach house for less than $100,000..and more.

Tomorrow you’ll hear from Akaisha Kaderli, who used to work 60 to 80 hours a week in California and take a two-week vacation each year. But since retiring at age 38, she now dives for lobster in the Caribbean…travels the Ecuadorian Andes…rides in horse-drawn carriages in Thailand…and anything else she wants. Akaisha’s biggest problem is choosing a single country in which to settle. She says: "There are so many beautiful paradises around the world, with such broad offerings for enrichment, why decide on just one? This has led us to living a global lifestyle."

You can live this way, too.

Stay tuned,
