Pacific Coast, Nicaragua
Calling it a land of “impenetrable terrain, smoking volcanoes and savage wildlife,” host Jeff Probst announced last Sunday that during the next season of “Survivor” the show will visit Nicaragua.
“Survivor: Nicaragua” will be the 21st season of the show, one of the oldest and most popular of reality TV shows. Sources say the 22nd season will also be held in Nicaragua and feature a “second chance” theme.
While Nicaragua may have plenty of wildlife, it is also know for world-class surfing and some of the most breathtaking Pacific Coast beach in the hemisphere. People from around the world have been visiting and living in Nicaragua for decades to take advantage of its natural beauty, fine weather, and extremely low cost of living, often in mature projects that cater to a variety of lifestyles.
One example is the 2,700-acre Rancho Santana development, with more than two miles of shoreline and some of the most dramatic surf breaks in the region. Not exactly “impenetrable terrain, smoking volcanoes and savage wildlife,” Rancho Santana features home sites ranging from a quarter to three-and-a-half acres, as well as beachfront condominiums and a large clubhouse with restaurant, spa, pool and gym.
