See the video below and take a Sunday stroll with Dan Prescher as he shows you the old city area of Merida, Mexico. He’ll also show you some typical Mexican food, not to be missed for breakfast, and the weekly fun kids’ show.
Mérida is an intellectual and cultural center. Home to five universities, several technical schools, and some first-rate hospitals, Mérida’s population is well-educated and relatively affluent. You won’t lack friends and colleagues with whom you have something in common.
The theater, designed by an Italian architect and elaborately adorned, hosts a full season of plays. Art galleries, museums, movie theaters, free concerts and dances in parks every night of the week offer more opportunities for fun and culture.
Mérida’s expatriate community maintains a well-stocked English language library and hosts monthly get-togethers.
