How to Live Happier and Healthier in Mexico

I arrived at the Gran Bahia Principe Resort near Tulum in Mexico at lunch time the day before International Living’s Live and Invest in Mexico Conference kicked off. Man, is this place accessible. My 8.45 a.m. flight from Toronto got me to the resort in time to enjoy lunch on the beach. Then, straight down to business…

I wanted to check up on the progress of some projects I’ve told Real Estate Trend Alert members about.

In one development, the first phase of which was delivered in September, I had high expectations. I’d seen the quality of work the developer had done in the past. He exceeded those high expectations. The buildings complement nature, the jungle and her stone and cenote dotted floor. Moving water is a big feature adding to the tranquil setting.

The swimming pool was buzzing with IL readers who bought there and were taking their new condo for a test drive. I’ve rarely come across a bunch of happier buyers.

Next, the exciting part of my afternoon’s work. The part I had been looking forward to since I jumped in a car to bring me to Toronto’s Pearson airport at 6.30 a.m. that morning.

The architect joined us and rolled out a fresh set of renderings for the focal point of the next phase of the project.

It will be constructed within a jungle site adjacent to one of the most challenging and visually appealing par fours on the Robert Trent Jones II course. This is the most peaceful and enchanting place in all of this vast resort. A local Shamen had recently blessed the site. I was assured that the spirits are fully on board with the project.

Here, it’s all about holistic wellness. This is the #1 consideration the developer has given in his architectural brief. His architect has come up with something amazing.

Residents will do yoga and Pilates on specially constructed glass platforms over caves…swim in the lap pools that weave their way through the project…work out in the gym that is designed on platforms in such a way that you feel part of the jungle.

A full-time nutritionist will be onsite to help if you need to shave a couple of inches off your waist line or just increase energy levels. In the evenings there will be cooking lessons and other classes. You’ll get to know your neighbors…feel happier and healthier.

This developer is truly passionate about his vision for a community centered around friendships and physical and mental wellness. He hasn’t just spotted a niche in the market. He lives and breathes it. You can tell by the way he speaks so passionately.

In fact, he shared his vision when he spoke at the Live and Invest in Mexico Conference a couple of weeks ago—if you want to listen to what he said, here’s how to get a copy of the recordings.
