Video: Young Canadian Family Move to the Beach in Panama and Cut Their Cost of Living in Half

International Living’s Panama Editor, Jessica Ramesch, interviews the Roussels, a Canadian family living on Gorgona Beach on Panama’s Pacific Coast.

Four months ago, The Roussels (Susan and Denis and their two sons, Jonah, 11 and Elijah, 18 months) moved to Gorgona beach.

They are renting a large oceanview condo for 10 months and may decide to make their move to Panama permanent. Here, they discuss the things they like most about Panama. From the infrastructure, to the low cost of living, to the safe environment and friendly people, Panama offers many of the things they’re looking for in a tropical home.
