This is my first time in Nicaragua in four years and I had expected that the country would be “marking time”…at a relative standstill during the presidency of Daniel Ortega. But as I explain to International Living Executive Editor, Jen Stevens, here, what I’ve discovered is that the country has moved ahead. The infrastructure is better, the highways are improved, and Nicaraguans are generally more-upbeat and positive about their country.
