Colombia Video: The Plaza Botero in Central Medellin

IL editor Eoin Bassett is in Medellin, Colombia. In this video, he shows a snapshot of Plaza Botero in central Medellin. When you visit this city, don’t miss out on this plaza. A pleasant, tree-covered square between the Basilica de La Candelaria and the museum of Antioquia, it acts as a public sculpture park for the works of Colombian artist, and Medellin native, Fernando Botero. Many locals come to meet up, hang out and relax here.

 


Only a few seconds from the metro stop, Estacion Parque Berrio, this is the bustling commercial heart of central Medellin. You’ll find everything from street-side fruit stalls to small restaurants where a good meal for a couple costs less than $10.
