In this video, IL editors Dan Prescher and Suzan Haskins are on what used to be the main street in Placencia, Belize.
Once upon a time, Placencia, Belize was accessible only by boat, and the village was organized around what The Guinness Book of World Records hailed as the narrowest main street in the world.
The street, as seen in this video, is still there and it still runs down the center of the village. Although many of Placencia’s businesses are now found on the road that serves the village, this miniature main street is still lined with homes, shops and restaurants.
