Urgent New Poll – MAP-21 Bill – VOTE NOW
A worrying new bill just passed the Senate on March 14, 2012.
It’s called the “Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act.” (MAP-21).
And it could give the I.R.S. the power to take your passport and prevent you from traveling outside the U.S. if they claim you owe money on your taxes…
The I.R.S. wouldn’t have to prove you owe the tax. Simply alleging you owe would be grounds enough to revoke your passport.
This stealth provision was stuck into a bill intended to reauthorize funds for federal highway and transportation programs.
Giving the I.R.S. this power opens the door to even more restrictions on your liberty and freedom to travel.
Should we stand by and give the I.R.S. this power? Cast your vote here now and let us know where you stand!
