Copa Airlines Now Offers Direct Flights Between Washington, D.C. and Panama

Date: 07/26/2007

If you live in or near Washington, D.C., pay particular attention to this news-Copa Airlines has just made your lives easier with a new direct route from Washington Dulles International Airport to Panama.

Copa's direct service to and from Washingtion, D.C. to Panama City began this month and is available all seven days of the week. Copa is the only airline offering a direct flight available between the two capital cities-and best of all, the schedule will enable busy travelers to leave D.C. in the morning, conduct a day's worth of business in Panama, and return to the U.S. on an evening flight.

(Washington, D.C. is Copa's fifth U.S. destination. Others are Orlando, Miami, New York and Los Angeles.)

Passengers on the Washington to Panama flights depart at 7:07 a.m. and arrive at 10:42 a.m. on a Boeing 737-700. Return flights from Panama to Washington depart at 7:06 p.m., arriving in D.C. at 12:46 a.m. on the same type of aircraft.

This month, Copa also began bi-weekly flights to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic-a Caribbean vacation destination growing in popularity, with pristine beaches and a lively nightlife. Those flights depart from Panama at 9:55 a.m., arriving at Punta Cana at 1:36 p.m. and return from Punta Cana at 3:21 p.m., arriving in Panama at 5:10 p.m..

Copa will increase flight frequencies this summer to eight cities in the Americas, in some cases offering up to four daily flights. The eight cities are San Jose, Guatemala City, Managua, Orlando, Lima, Miami, San Salvador and Cancún.

With the new frequencies, Copa will offer 126 daily departures from its Hub of the Americas in Panama to 40 destinations in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean.

Obtain flight availability and pricing information at www.copaair.com (and save, too-Copa often offers special discounts for booking online).
