The people here display that heart-warming brand of small-town friendliness often encountered across outback Australia. Culture-vultures can visit the city’s museums and stroll the cobblestone streets; outdoor types can stretch their legs on walking paths on the city’s outskirts; and everyone can enjoy a nice meal in historic surroundings.
Andalucia is the Spain of blazing sunshine, bullfights, and the twang of the flamenco guitar. As well as being a historical heavyweight, Granada is a university city, so it buzzes all year. Summers this far south can get hot, but Granada itself is a city of fountains and shade.
In the excitement of moving someplace prettier and more affordable, they forget that they still need to plan... to have a cushion... to make sure they have the resources to handle the extra start-up expenses that always accompany a move anywhere... across the street or across the planet.
