Donal Lucey

Donal is a Digital Content Managing Editor who works closely with our correspondents around the world to create new and engaging ways to share their experiences of retiring abroad with our readers. He has an MA in Journalism and spent several years working as a copywriter and scriptwriter, as well as a short stint as a sports journalist. Donal has traveled across Europe, to America and parts of South East Asia, but still has a packed wish list of places he’d like to visit. Before making a move into journalism, he studied English and History at University College Dublin, and retains a keen interest in Irish history and politics. Outside of work, Donal loves sport, a sociable drink and a lively debate – but not always in that order.
