Decompressing in retirement was a concern I had after leading an active and hectic business life for more years than I care to count. Moving to Sarchí in Costa Rica’s Central Valley alleviated those concerns since there is so much enjoyment to be had in the mere simplicity of the lifestyle here.
Retiring to Costa Rica was an easy choice for me and my wife, Jackie since we had been vacationing there for several years and loved the simplicity and natural beauty of the country. We also decided that the best option for us, initially, was to rent rather than purchase our home.
In 2013, my wife Jackie and I were approaching our 60s, and as time passed, the winters in Indiana seemed to be getting longer and causing more discomfort.
