I've had a few "careers" over the years. For a while, I did layout and design for the publishing arm of a major accounting firm (I was lucky enough to get fired from that job during the early 1990s recession).
In case you don't know—and some don't—copywriting means writing ad copy. The headlines. The print ads you see. Billboards. TV ads. And sales letters.
My family and I now live (for at least a big part of the year) in Paris. I'm still a copywriter—but now work freelance. My "commute" is a walk from bed to the kitchen for a cup of coffee, a teeth-brushing pit-stop, then to my laptop in my favorite chair in the living room.
You've heard about the oldest profession. And I'm guessing you know the toughest, too (parenting). What's the most dangerous? Fishing, believe it or not. Along with logging and flying airplanes.
