Here’s How You Can Ditch the Cubicle and Earn Big Overseas

Our balcony in Costa Rica looks out at the tops of the trees, giving us a perfect view of the forest. Toucans, tanagers, and tropical birds I’ve never seen before gather there every morning. Three-toed sloths graze in nearby branches, while the Pacific Ocean laps in the distance.

As my husband and I sip coffee and watch the show each morning, I can’t help but be thankful for my good fortune.

You see, a few years back, this trip couldn’t have happened. I didn’t have the vacation time or budget to spend a week in a luxury hotel anywhere.

My corporate job allowed us the essentials, but there wasn’t much room for extras. I was burned out from the long hours, and had no opportunity for advancement. And it was all so my employer could increase shareholder value, and give the CEO bonus.

Then I discovered copywriting. (If you’ve never heard of copywriting before, click here to discover how much you can earn doing it). Boy, did my life change for the better!

I quit my office job three years ago, and now I work from home. Instead of a stressful commute, I walk a few steps to my home office.

My copywriting hours are flexible. There’s no need to be in the office at a certain time, as long as the work gets done. I work early mornings, the middle of the afternoon, or evenings, depending on what I feel like doing. I can also work as much or as little as I want. I can even take a day—or a week—off when I feel like it.

That flexibility applies to my income, as well. I get to choose how much I want to make, instead of some faceless corporation telling me how much they think I’m worth. It didn’t take long to earn as much as a copywriter as I did in my corporate job, but working only a fraction of the hours.

And one of the best perks is I can vacation when and where I want. I can even take my work with me if I choose. You see, my clients don’t care where I work. They’re just interested in what I write.

What’s really great about copywriting is that anyone can do it. And it’s easy to get started. You don’t need a degree, tons of experience, or the right connections. You just need a desire to write and the ability to learn a few simple tricks.

Now my only dilemma is deciding where to go next. Do I want to visit Ecuador…lie on a beach in Belize…or take a river cruise through Europe? The possibilities are endless.
