There is such thing as a hobby you can turn into an overseas, portable income that will take you to the most beautiful places in the world.
And it doesn’t even have to be your hobby now. You can start up—and start earning—before you embark on your travels.
The hobby is photography. And while there was a time when there was a clear distinction between amateur and professional photographers, technology has blurred that distinction completely.
Today, the demand for photographs is huge. Every website is a potential client. Stock photography agencies will upload your photographs and make them available to publishers, advertisers, and graphic designers. You can get paid over and over again for the same photo.
And digital cameras mean it is all much simpler than it used to be.
You can earn anywhere from $200 to $2,000 a week from your images.
So it’s entirely possible for you to make an income from photography as you travel overseas.
Just look at Ginger Sanders who photographed her way around Rome…loaded her images up on a stock photography site for sale…and then landed a client who saw them and paid her $5,000 to go and photograph Paris.
Ginger points out that you don’t even have to go that far to take money-making photos. “You can get started in your own home…your garden…your neighborhood…your local park,” she says. “Images of simple, everyday things are in demand, too.”
And that’s the beauty of developing an income from photography. You can get started before you move overseas…before you even give up your job.
Daniel Nahabedian bought his first camera in 2008. One year later, he was making a full-time income from his pictures.
“I didn’t have any background in photography,” says Daniel. “In fact, I’d studied law and was working in human resources. I accidentally discovered a new passion for photography in the beginning of 2008, after buying a camera. And, just one year later, I quit my comfortable job to pursue a new career in photography.
“Of course, at first I was earning a low income, just enough to pay the bills. But after a while, I was able to make a comfortable living and travel around the world.”
There are lots of people who are turning their cameras into a source of income and making their travels pay…and you can too.
