Shane Kenny and his wife Heather dreamed for over 20 years of one day owning a small, boutique resort in some exotic vacation destination. After selling the tech business he had started with his brother, this dream started to become a reality. In 2019, Shane sold everything he owned in the U.S. and moved with his wife and then 12-year-old son to Placencia, Belize to open Placencia Beach Club. His entrepreneurial grit has allowed him to navigate the requirements of starting a top-rated tourist business in Belize while surviving a global pandemic.
