Fiona Mitchell

Fiona grew up in the UK, but it didn’t take long for the travel bug to bite, and she found herself on extended trips to Europe, Australia, and South America as a young adult. A 16-month backpacking trip around South America in 2005-2006 made her fall in love with the continent, and she has spent many of the last 25 years living and working in its various countries. She and her husband, Ken, now live in Cuenca, Ecuador, where they enjoy regular hiking and biking excursions in the nearby Andes mountains. They share their home with two little rescue animals, Sally, the dog, and Lily, the cat.
